The Dock House is possibly one of the nicest hotels in which we have stayed. The accommodation is palatial. We stayed in Superior Luxury Rooms (3). All had their own personality but equally splendid. The upstairs suites have amazing balconies with panoramic views of the waterfront. It is located across the road from the busy Waterfront Area of Capetown so is handy for restaurants and sightseeing, boat trips etc. The food was excellent we ate at the pool, and in the dining room of the sister hotel the Queen Victoria which is a more modern building but equally beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend it for family trips or couples alike.

It is difficult to choose one or two aspects of the Dock House to comment on. It was a unique experience. The suite was beautiful and spacious. The staff were exceptional and gracious. The service was first class and we felt like we really mattered to everyone. It was also great being able to use the Queen Victoria sister hotel facilities.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Dock House Boutique Hotel. An absolute pleasure being taken care of by Donovan and his friendly staff. The proximity to good restaurants, CT attractions and beautiful views makes this an outstanding hotel - small enough to feel like home but professional enough to have all your needs met. With a 5 year old with us we truly appreciated the pantry with snacks available at any time and the fact that our room had a door opening up to a lovely stretch of lawn! Once again we enjoyed our (third) stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you so much Donovan and team!!!! And thanks for the gym facility - we had to burn a few of our lovely Cape calories🤣

Excellent buffet breakfast - hot breakfast also available but buffet so good did not want cooked breakfast Savoury quiches and muffins , cooked meats and cheese , scones with jam and cream , croissants danish and Portuguese tarts - smoothies etc

From the moment we arrived we experienced the most wonderful and warm welcome from Donovan who also informed us that he has picked the best room for us. We walked into the most luxurious room, the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. Our bed was super comfortable, the best swim in the pool as the water was just the perfect temperature. There was a pantry where we could help ourselves to complimentary sweets and treats ! Breakfast the following morning was delicious! Next time we are definitely bringing the kids!

Room size was good and house keeping was great. Innocent was polite and helpful, as was the pool/ garden person. Very central to the V & A and all it had to offer.
